

Maintenance Assistant
Assist the Head of Maintenance by providing effective and efficient maintenance and home modification services to older people and younger people with disabilities.

DUTIES
-
Undertake appropriate maintenance tasks and home modifications as requested by Head
-
of Maintenance.
-
Maintain GHCC grounds and premises and provide general maintenance to clients as per service contracts.

Installation of home modifications for service users as per order sheets
-
Promote safety by following organisational WHS requirements and guidelines.
-
Working to all organisations policies and procedures
-
Communicate respectfully with all individuals including service users, representatives, staff and the community
-
Keep accurate records of services provided through the organisations Data Management System.

Contribute to continuous improvement by involvement in staff meetings, planning days, and feedback mechanisms.
-
Any other tasks as directed by the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
Essential
-
Experience in the maintenance or building industry.
-
Good level of written and verbal communication skills.
-
A strong commitment to working with older people and young people with disabilities.

Ability to obtain a police check clearance certificate

Ability to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
