Driver (Paid)
Glasshouse Country Care has an opportunity for a Driver to support our individual clients who require transport support.
Our drivers provide car transport to individuals between their home and destination of their choice. We provide a safe and comfortable environment delivering a high-quality transport service to individuals.
Your duties will include:

Drive service users to medical appointments, shopping, Day Centre activities, etc. as rostered under Transport Portfolio

Be responsible for the welfare, comfort, and safety of service users from their homes to their destination and return
-
Promote safety by following organisational WHS requirements and guidelines
-
Ability to work as part of a team
-
Communicate respectfully with all individuals including service users, representatives, staff and the community
-
Ensure the interior of the vehicles are kept clean and free of any clutter or rubbish
-
Contribute to continuous improvement by involvement in staff meetings, planning days, and feedback mechanisms
-
Participate in education and training opportunities
-
Other duties as requested by the Transport Team Leader.

To be considered for this role, you must:

Be able to work within the policies and procedures of Glasshouse Country Care

Be able to apply for a police check and worker screening check
-
“A” class driver licence

Have a current first aid and CPR certificate

Have a reliable mobile smart phone
-
A strong commitment to working with older people and young people with disabilities.
