Lifestyle & Leisure Worker
The Lifestyle & Leisure worker will provide direct support to service users of Glasshouse Country Care within the centre-based day care for aged and or disability programs.
DUTIES
-
Develop and maintain a professional and effective rapport with program participants including older people and people with a disability.

Implementing and evaluating a program of activities designed to meet the individual needs of seniors attending the day centre program at Glasshouse Country Care.

Encourage and support all clients to participate in a diverse range of activities and encourage social interaction.

Ensure all activities and outings undertaken are within the policies and procedures of Glasshouse Country Care.

Source and maintain appropriate resources for delivering programs.

Maintain effective communication with all team members taking into consideration program ideas and suggestions from team members.

Complete client documentation appropriate to a centre-based program setting including individual support plans for each client and reviews.

Promote safety by following organisational WHS requirements and guidelines.

Communicate respectfully with all individuals including service users, representatives, staff and the community.

Contribute to continuous improvement by involvement in meetings, planning days, and feedback mechanisms.

Participate in education and training opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
-
Certificate III in Disability Care
-
Certificate III in Aged Care or Community Services
Desirable
-
Certificate III in Lifestyle & Leisure
-
Understanding of Data Management Systems/IT
